3rd quarter report
Only a quarter remains between the Kings and the victory they were favored to achieve tonight. They have a bit of a lead as they currently lead the Pistons 91-77.

What you need to know
The Detroit Pistons’ road trip will continue as they take on the Sacramento Kings at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday at Golden 1 Center. The Pistons pulled off a surprise win in their last outing and will hope to do so once again against the 5.5-point favorite Kings.
The Pistons will bounce back in Thursday’s game after (finally) beating the Lakers, against whom they had won 2-8 in their previous ten meetings. The Pistons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team edged the Lakers 117-114. For those watching at home, this is the closest victory Detroit has recorded since November 25.
Meanwhile, the Kings’ recent rough patch got a little tougher on Sunday after their fourth straight loss. Their bruising 122-95 loss to the Pacers could scar them for a while. It was supposed to be a close game, and Sacramento was supposed to win, but clearly no one told Indiana that.
Even though they lost, the Kings broke the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outscored their opponents in this department as the Pacers only struck out six.
Detroit has had some good results recently as they have won three of their last four games, which has been a nice improvement to their 13-17 record this season. As for Sacramento, their defeat brought their record to an identical score of 13-17.
The Pistons beat the Kings 133-120 in their previous meeting in February. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in this game was the Kings’ Domantas Sabonis, who had a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Now that he has a second chance to win this game, will the Pistons still be able to contain Sabonis? Check CBSSports.com after the game to find out.
