Paul Heyman is synonymous with genius in professional wrestling. From managing a litany of current and future Hall of Famers to revolutionizing the industry with ECW, his contributions are undeniable. Yet Heyman refuses to be called “one” of the greatest managers, seeing it as a backhanded compliment that fails to recognize his legacy.
Appearing on “Logan Paul”Impulsivepodcast, Heyman tackled the subject head-on. Being the verbal maestro that he is, Heyman didn’t mince his words when asked about the idea of being recognized as “the one.” of the greatest of all time.
“If your partner wakes up next to you and says, ‘You’re one of the best lovers I’ve ever had.’ Is it: “Hey, honey, we’re spending the morning in bed, or is a call to the divorce lawyer not at all flattering?” the biggest.
The conversation took a turn when Paul’s co-host pointed out that Wikipedia lists Heyman as “one” of the greatest managers. Never one to shy away from expressing disdain for anything other than complete respect, Heyman responded emphatically.
“Anyone who follows this industry knows that I’m not part of anything, that I’m the GOAT and that should be recognized, accepted, respected and revered and when they read Wikipedia and it says that, they (should) go…’ f*** Wikipedia,’” he said.
Heyman recently announced Roman Reigns’ entrance into the 2025 Royal Rumble match in Indianapolis. Last year, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and channeled the spirit of ECW in his induction speech.
