FAYETTEVILLE — Winter weather swept across the state of Arkansas Thursday night, but it didn’t change Arkansas basketball this weekend.

The Razorbacks (11-4, 0-2 SEC) will host No. 8 Florida (14-1, 1-1) on Saturday (3 p.m., ESPN) at Bud Walton Arena. There were no changes to the schedule, although much of the state is under a winter storm warning through Friday evening.

Earlier this week, the University of Arkansas canceled all on-campus classes, starting Thursday at 2 p.m. The university also moved to remote operations on Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, Fayetteville received six inches of snow Friday morning. However, temperatures are expected to rise into the 40s on Saturday with sunny skies.

The Hogs are desperately trying to get their SEC campaign going. Arkansas lost its first two championship games to Tennessee and Ole Miss, and the Gators beat the Volunteers by 30 points earlier this week.

John Calipari had never started 0-2 in the SEC until this season, and he had lost the first two conference games of a season just twice before in his 32-year coaching career.
